SPANISH FORT, Ala. (WKRG) — Spanish Fort will dedicate a new recreation area with a grand opening this weekend, Spanish Fort officials said.

According to a City of Spanish Fort news release, the Town Center Park, at 29000 Bass Pro Drive, in the Bass Pro Shopping Center, will officially open Friday at 9 a.m., with a ribbon cutting planned for 10 a.m.
The revamped park features six new pickleball courts, a renovated playground and splash pad, and a large pavilion with picnic tables, the release said.
“The new Pickleball courts are designed to provide an optimal playing experience for players of all skill levels,” the release said. Lighting is provided for evening play as well.
