BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WALA) – A scary boating accident this weekend in Baldwin County could have been much worse if not for the quick actions of other boaters in the area. That’s according to first responders who were at the scene. A family of three, including a two-year-old boy were thrown from their boat Saturday morning, Aug. 16, 2025. The father was critically injured by the circling boat.
“Three boats over there and one’s over there by itself and they’re all in the water, hanging to another boat and one dude had his eyes closed like this,” said 16-year-old Hunter Robinson.
Robinson, a junior at Baldwin County High School recalled when he and his fishing partner, Devon Pfeffer rushed to the scene of a boating accident Saturday morning. A phone call from his grandfather, a volunteer Firefighter with White House Fork VFD had sent them rushing to give aid.
According to ALEA, Artis and Brittany Anderson, along with their two-year-old son had been thrown from their boat on the Tensaw River near Byrne’s Lake. Crossroads VFD also responded and set up a command post. Deputy Fire Chief, Philip Bryars said other boaters, including Michael and Terri Carr were already assisting when the boys arrived…
