Woman brandishes hammer, box blade at store clerk, Mobile police say

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Mobile woman is accused of brandishing a hammer and a box blade at a gas station employee while trying to take items from a store.

Officers were dispatched to the Clarks Service Station at 4063 Moffett Road around 4:33 p.m. Tuesday regarding a report of a robbery.

According to the Mobile Police Department, the victim told officers that an unknown woman, later identified as 24-year-old Raquel Johnson, had entered the store and selected several items. When the victim asked the woman for identification for the purchase of a regulated item, the woman had become upset and produced a hammer and box blade and tried to leave with the items, police said…
