Man sentenced to 20 years after deadly DUI crash on Highway 45

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Mississippi man has been sentenced to 20 years after pleading guilty to killing a Mobile County man while driving under the influence.

According to the District Attorney’s Office, 34-year-old Clayton Geter was booked into metro today to serve his sentence.

In 2022, Geter crashed into 63-year-old Mark Stricker of Citronelle on U.S. 45 near the 20-mile marker, about one mile north of Chunchula.

Stricker was taken to USA Hospital where he later died…
