LOXLEY, Ala. (WALA) – Loxley police are working to identify a pedestrian killed when he was hit by a truck.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday in the southbound lanes of Alabama 59/U.S. 31 near the Baldwin County Preparatory Academy, authorities said.
According to the Loxley Police Department, the driver of a box-style cargo truck tried unsuccessfully to avoid a man, who they say was walking in the right-hand driving lane. The man was thrown from the roadway, where he died, police said.
