Mobile felon sentenced on gun charge

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man previously convicted of a felony has been sentenced on a gun charge, according to the Department of Justice.

According to a DOJ news release, 42-year-old Jamar Lee Webb was sentenced to 137 months in prison on a charge of illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

Officials said Webb and a passenger who was a known drug dealer were arrested by Mobile County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Feb. 24, 2023, during a traffic stop.
