Mobile man in jail after sending vulgar texts, threatening messages

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WKRG) — Clate Clark, 58, is in the Baldwin County jail after admitting to sending lewd and threatening messages over social media and text messages to Christina Woerner McInnis since June.

“Very inappropriate to repeat, but basically I’m coming for you and your children,” McInnis said of the messages she was sent.

Clark got email addresses and phone numbers online and then used multiple fake accounts to harass McInnis, according to Baldwin County Sheriff Anthony Lowery.

“He clearly talks about things he is going to do, and you and your family feel threatened by all those sorts of things, but the law as it is right now doesn’t meet the burden of going to a stalking or felony charge.”
