Mobile parents express opinions on CHOOSE Act controversy

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Montgomery County Circuit Court granted a motion on Friday for a temporary restraining order against the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s rule on CHOOSE Act student transfers.

“Don’t jump from school to school just to play football,” UMS grandparent Randy Mabrey said.

“They should absolutely have to wait a year,” UMS parent John Vellianitis said. “That will prevent these schools from stacking players and building football powerhouses, where they’re able to beat the smaller schools,” he continued…
