Jury selection begins Monday in Bay Minette man’s capital murder trial in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Jury selection is set to begin Monday in Mobile County’s first death penalty case of the year.

Jesse Patrick McClure, 56, of Bay Minette, is charged with capital murder in the deaths of 30-year-old Shane Dulaney and 45-year-old George Snyder. They both were found shot to death inside of a home on Height Street in Mobile in January 2021.

Before testimony gets under way, Mobile County Circuit Judge Jay York will have to settle evidentiary disputes between the prosecution and defense, including arguments by the defense that the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office did not fully comply with an order to turn over evidence to McClure’s attorney…
