Federal jury finds no constitutional violation in fatal 2017 Baldwin County shooting

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) — A federal civil jury found that Baldwin County Deputy Matthew Hunady did not violation Jonathan Victors constitutional rights when Hunady shot and killed Victor along I-10 in 2017.

Hunady was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing in late 2017 by a Baldwin County Grand Jury.

Victor’s mother, Donna Chessi, filed suit in Federal Court alleging that Hunady used excessive force in the deadly encounter, which the jury rejected Friday morning…
