Mobile birthday party allegedly turns violent; local man arrested

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile police are investigating an alleged assault at a weekend birthday party, News 5 has learned.

Police responded to the 3100 block of Baptiste Drive South on Saturday just before 6 p.m., according to a Mobile Police Department news release.

There, they reportedly found a man and a woman who had been assaulted.

Darion Mansfield, 34, of Theodore, is accused of becoming “agitated following a confrontation with several individuals,” the release said.

He allegedly struck the man in the head with an object before getting into a vehicle and driving off, according to the release. A vehicle then reportedly struck the woman…
