‘A mistake was made:’ DA responds after man arrested twice while out on bond

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood is owning it, responding to a story we broke Sept. 11, highlighting a revolving door at Metro Jail.

40-year-old Joshua Skipper, who was out on bond awaiting trial on attempted murder charges from 2022, has been arrested twice this year.

While out on bond for the attempted murder charges, he was arrested on a first-degree assault charge in May. Court documents said that crime happened in November 2024 when Skipper cut a man’s hand with a large knife outside a lounge…
