FHP: Missing Mobile juvenile steals grandparents’ car, crashes in Escambia County

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A juvenile who was reported missing from Mobile was found, likely not in the way she intended.

According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, the grandparents of a 13-year-old girl woke up on Wednesday morning to find her and their car missing. They reported this to the police in Mobile.

She was later located by the Florida Highway Patrol after she crashed the vehicle into a ditch on Pine Forest Road in Escambia County at around 9 a.m.

She received minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for treatment. She was later released into the care of her grandparents.
