FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — The City of Foley held a ribbon-cutting for its new Goodwill facility, the only Goodwill Gulf Coast facility like it, according to officials.
The 50,000-square-foot center, located on East Azalea Avenue, opened on Tuesday and is the only Goodwill Gulf Coast facility that combines a training center, retail store, outlet store, donation center, and opportunity center all in one location.
The Foley center is the only facility in 10 counties that Goodwill Gulf Coast serves that has all these types of stores and centers in one building, News 5 has learned.
Foley Mayor Ralph Hellmich stated that the new center will be a “major benefit” for Foley and its surrounding residents.
“We are so appreciative of Goodwill opening this mega-facility here in Foley,” Hellmich said. “It’s a full-service facility doing God’s work. It’s been incredible.”…
