Man indicted for murder in connection to Fourth of July shooting

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Mobile County District Attorneys Office said a Prichard man has been indicted for murder in connection to a Fourth of July deadly shooting.

According to court records, Walter Thames, 75, was indicted for the shooting death of Patricia Odoms.

The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Matzenger Drive at 12:30 am on July 4, according to MPD.

Police said they discovered Odoms with a gunshot wound and took her to a hospital where she died nine days later on July 13…
