A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 4:43 a.m. for strong thunderstorms until 5:45 a.m. for Mobile and Baldwin counties.
Residents may experience wind gusts of up to 30 mph.
“At 4:43 a.m., Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 24 miles southeast of Petit Bois Island to 16 miles southwest of Gulf Shores. Movement was northwest at 35 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.”…
