BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Chessie Wood, the mother of missing teen Brittney Wood, has died.

According to a Facebook post by the Justice for Brittney Wood page, Chessie passed away peacefully on Oct. 7.
Chessie had been searching for Brittney for over 13 years when she died on Tuesday.
