IRVINGTON, Ala. (WKRG) — The case of a woman accused of killing her grandmother in Irvington is now headed to a grand jury.
Mobile police identify suspect, victim in Schillinger Road homicide
18-year-old Jailen Meiya Lupton was arrested after allegedly beating her grandmother, 70-year-old Diane Trest, to death with a rubber mallet outside of Trest’s home on July 26.
Lupton appeared in court on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing. The judge found probable cause and sent the case to a grand jury.
