MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A man accused of killing his neighbor’s goat was arrested again, this time for failure to appear, News 5 has learned.
Man accused of dragging victim 2 miles to his death enters plea
Raymond Pendergrass was first arrested in October 2024 after he was allegedly caught on camera beating and shooting his neighbor’s goat.
According to previous reports, Pendergrass allegedly beat Peanut the goat with a bat before shooting him and hauling him off in a truck.
He also allegedly beat four other goats with the bat.
Pendergrass was arrested Oct. 21, 2024, and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and cruelty to animals. He was due in court Sept. 30 for arraignment, but reportedly did not show up.
