In early October, the Daphne Alabama Police Dept arrested Sequan Hudson for stealing a 2026 Honda Civic from Tameron Honda. But a quick look at the police log shows the same 28-year-old suspect was arrested three other times—for stealing cars from the exact same dealership. I have so many questions.
The case list looks more like a car lot inventory. Here we go:
- May 8, 2021 – Arrested by Mobile Police Department for theft of a 2020 Honda Pilot (case #210500049)
- June 2, 2021 – Arrested by Mobile Police Department for receiving stolen property: a 2014 Lexus IS 250 from Tameron Honda (case #210500239)
- July 1, 2024 – Arrested by Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for receiving stolen property: a 2023 Hyundai Elantra from Tameron Honda (case #2400700010)
- October 2, 2025 – Arrested for theft of a 2026 Honda Civic (case #250900326)
First and foremost, has Hudson realized there are other dealerships around? I’m curious if he used to work at Tameron Honda or has an employee helping him out. Or perhaps he just lives next door and can’t help himself whenever some cool new trade-in rolls onto the lot.
Secondly, how does Tameron Honda feel about this repeat offender? Is there some security loophole (like a lot gate code set to the default “1234#”) it has yet to close up? By theft two or three, were managers getting a little nervous? Or do they just write off the cars as an insurance loss and continue business as usual?…
