MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Members of a historic Mobile church are restoring a 130-year-old window using some of the same techniques craftsmen used in the 19th century.

A historic window collapses
Traditionally, Government Street United Methodist Church is known as “The Beehive” because it’s been a hub of activity at the busy intersection of Government and Broad Streets.
Inside, you can see the work being done on one of the main windows in the sanctuary.
Two years ago, the window collapsed.
The pastor says they believe the damage was caused by water damage to the aging building and the vibration created by the Broad Street restoration project.
