MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A former Daphne doctor charged with perjury has legal battles in two different courts.
An attorney for Rassan Tarabein entered a not guilty plea on his behalf this week to four counts of misdemeanor perjury related to a name-change petition. Based on that charge, federal prosecutors are seeking to revoke his supervised release in a fraud case and send him back to prison. A judge allowed Tarabein to remain free, for now, and scheduled a revocation hearing for next month.
