Alabama sheriff replaces controversial Halloween decorations with ‘Karen’ skeleton

Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch’s house has new decorations after receiving backlash for a previous display that critics described as “disgusting” and dehumanizing.

According to WKRG, the new setup features pumpkins that read “Make Halloween Great Again,” tombstones that say “R.I.P Sense of Humor — From Beginning of Time to October 2025,” and a skeleton wearing a skirt labeled “Karen.”

The new decorations come about two weeks after social media and some community members responded in outrage to Burch’s home depicting skeletons dressed in stereotypical Hispanic clothing as they are chased by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Burch’s neighbor Whitney Newman initially posted about the ICE decorations saying they were not funny and unbecoming of a law enforcement official…
