A group of folks from Mississippi were stranded along Highway 45 back in September because of a bad transmission. They emailed the Sheriff’s Office to share how Sergeant Tim Anderson stepped in to help them on that hot afternoon.
Part of that email read:“We were having great difficulty getting a wrecker and a ride to come where we were and it was getting closer to dark. Sergeant Anderson brought us water and waited with us and the vehicle until a wrecker, we found through a friend, finally arrived.”
“They had a couple of elderly people with them, so I just sat with them,” Sergeant Anderson said. “It was hot, I put them in the car and just gave them a ride up to Citronelle. Any other deputy would’ve done the same. We do that regularly.”
“I would hope any of my deputies would do the same, but he is an outstanding sergeant,” Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch said. “We get compliments on him almost weekly and he’s a great leader in the organization.”…
