FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — Two Foley residents have been arrested in connection with a robbery in Fairhope.
Okaloosa County residents fall victim to crypto scam
According to a news release from the Fairhope Police Department, Ayzia Lynette Williams, 24, and Jaylin Benard Brown, 19, were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.
Investigators said a Mobile man went to Fairhope in order to purchase a car that was advertised online. Brown allegedly “brandished a handgun,” took the man’s cellphone, and gave it to Williams in the backseat during a test drive.
Williams then allegedly transferred money from the victim to herself. The victim then left the vehicle and searched for help.
