MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man has pleaded guilty to the 2023 death of his daughter, according to documents from the Circuit Court of Mobile County.
Paul Prine announces candidacy for Mobile County sheriff
Deandre Franklin withdrew his previous plea of not guilty and entered a guilty plea for felony murder on Monday, Nov. 10. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, with credit for time spent.
Franklin is also ordered to pay court costs.
On Sunday, Feb. 12, 2022, police were called to Bay Towne Apartments at around 1 p.m. for an unresponsive 13-month-old. She was later pronounced dead on the scene by the Mobile Fire and Rescue Department.
