MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A geomagnetic storm has caused several intense auroras that could be “seen” all the way down to the Gulf Coast. Of course we couldn’t see any of this with the naked eye, but modern cell phones are able to capture the faint light these auroras produce. We had many colorful pictures downloaded to a our FOX10 weather app from a number of great viewers.
If you’re sad you missed it there is some good news. It’s possible to catch sight of another one this evening.
