MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Police responded to a home on Labrador Run South in August for a domestic violence report, but the alleged perpetrator was not home and his wife didn’t want to press charges, according to testimony Thursday.
The next day, she was in the hospital and died about a week later.
Mobile County District Judge Johana Bucci determined after listening to the testimony at a preliminary hearing that prosecutors have enough evidence to present a murder charge against Herman Peter Glaude IV, 41, to a grand jury.
A large number of friends of victim Jennifer Glaude were in court, including Melissa Delafuente. They wore buttons with her face and T-shirts reading “#ShineLikeJennifer.” Delafuente said the shirts helped raise $1,300 for Penelope House, which offers assistance to domestic violence victims…
