MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – When you walk into Dawes Hardware in west Mobile, manager James Lambert greets you with a smile.
Lambert’s been working here for about five years, but there was a time when he didn’t have a job and Mobile County Metro Jail was his second home.
Lambert said, “I lost everything, like my mom had passed away. I had a house, I had a car, I had my family and all my friends, and I just threw it all away for crystal meth. After two years in and out of Metro, and two years solid in Metro, I finally prayed to God. I was like, Please Lord, like, let me come out to a job, a family, you know, people that can support me and love me and let me stick with it.”…
