MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Mobile woman spearheaded a community relief drive that collected 11 pallets of essential supplies for Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa.
Kerry Cohen, a U.S. citizen born and raised in Jamaica, organized the two-week donation effort after the Category 5 storm devastated the island. With family still in Jamaica, Cohen said she was hearing about needs in real time.
