MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A woman walked away from a terrifying collision with a black bear on Highway 45 just after midnight, highlighting the growing danger as bear populations climb across Alabama.
Emily White was driving home from a show at the Flora-Bama around 12:30 a.m. when a black bear wandered into her lane near Citronelle. The impact crushed the front of the Toyota RAV4 she was driving, but White escaped with only minor injuries.
