BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Baldwin County Public School System assistant principal was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the Daphne Police Department.

Domestic violence case against Tuscaloosa police commander dismissed

DPD officials said Melissa Spriggs, the assistant principal at Belforest Elementary School, was arrested near Daphne Elementary School in the early morning hours of Nov. 23.

Spriggs was previously arrested for DUI on December 30, 2024, News 5 has learned. Officials said Spriggs was sentenced to 12 months of probation for the 2024 arrest and was ordered to attend classes.
