Griswold Vacation Wagon turning heads in Southern Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. — A meticulously crafted replica of the iconic station wagon from “National Lampoon’s Vacation” is drawing smiles and double-takes across Alabama, rekindling memories of the 1983 comedy classic that launched the beloved Griswold franchise.

Craig Rowley, a self-described car enthusiast and organizer of the Battle in Bama and Grand Finale car shows, recently acquired the Ford LTD Queen Wagon replica — better known as the Family Truckster — from a friend in Arkansas about four weeks ago.
