MoonPie Over Mobile in Alabama has been ranked as the fourth best New Year’s Eve drop in the United States by USA Today’s 10 Best list. The annual event features the descent of a 600-pound electric MoonPie at midnight. It includes the world’s largest MoonPie cake, live entertainment, and a Kids Zone with a Noon Year’s Eve MoonPie drop. The event is designed to be family-friendly.
The celebration takes place in downtown Mobile. It was ranked #9 in 2023 and was a runner-up in 2024.
