On Thursday, Mobile-area officials will celebrate the reopening of a heavily traveled corridor in the middle of the city that has been closed for two years.
South McGregor Avenue connects the western end of Dauphin Street to Airport Boulevard, making it a popular way to access the busy Airport Boulevard corridor – or to bypass a substantial section of it. Prior to its closure in 2023, it also had become a bottleneck during peak commute times.
