MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man has been sentenced in federal court for being a convicted felon and having a firearm, the United States Attorney’s Office Southern District of Alabama said.

Anthony Terrell Beard, 43, of Mobile, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to court documents, on Feb. 14 of this year, Mobile police officers saw Beard, but when Beard saw them, he ran away and refused to stop when they told him to.

He was later discovered hiding under a car. When officers searched him, they found a gun that had been reported stolen in his front pocket…
