Kash has come a long way since the shooting in June, said his mother, Kersheta Ross.
“Every day I wake up, I have to see, you know, this scar on his right side of his face,” said Ross.
Ross did not want to be on camera, but said Kash was sleeping on the bed next to her when bullets flew into their home around 1 a.m. on June 4 of this year.
“I could just overplay in my head the sounds of the bullets coming through the window,” said Ross. “He jumps in his sleep. He’s scared of loud noises.”
Kash survived with a fractured skull. Part of it was removed to relieve pressure on his brain…
