MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A lawsuit filed this week alleges that the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System illegally shut off public access to Big Creek Lake at Fox Landing.
In February, the utility closed public access, citing the risk of an invasive species contaminating the drinking supply. The utility then declared itself the owner of all lands abutting that portion of Howells Ferry Road.
