Robertsdale, Ala. (WALA) – We have a road construction alert for you in Baldwin County. Highway crews there will begin work on two road projects next week which may impact your travel. One is a County Road but the other is busy Highway 59.
“They have been needing to do stuff for years, I think because it is so dangerous out here. I’ve seen several wrecks. It’s just crazy,” Debra Dales said.
Dales has lived at Hinote Glass Road and Highway 59 in Loxley for two years and said she’s glad a change is coming. Baldwin County will begin a months long project next week to address what it sees as significant safety issues there.
“There’s a lot of commercial turns that are made there,” Assistant Baldwin County Engineer, Mark Acreman acknowledged. “There’s a lot of cars that turn right onto Hinote Glass Road off of Highway 59 and currently there is no deceleration lane for them to be able to safely enter into before turning onto Hinote Glass.”…
