The latest Mobile Bay 40 Under 40 class includes administrators, researchers, surgeons and professors representing USA, USA Health and the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine.
Mobile Bay magazine recognized three representatives from the University of South Alabama and USA Health, the university’s health system, in the 40 Under 40 class for 2026. Each year, the magazine highlights 40 residents under the age of 40 who demonstrate leadership, professional excellence, and a commitment to the Mobile Bay area. Winners are selected from the business and professional community, the arts, medicine, education, community involvement, and more.

LaTasha Henry, M.D., a gastroenterologist and medical director at USA Health Providence Gastroenterology, is recognized for her clinical excellence, leadership, and commitment to patient-centered care. A native of Ashland, Kentucky, Henry was inspired early in life to pursue medicine after witnessing limited access to quality healthcare in her community.
