Wilmer Hall slaying was ‘premeditated,’ Mobile County DA says

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – An investigator on Wednesday laid out evidence in a capital murder case that includes surveillance video, the alleged murder weapon and a confession.

“From an evidentiary standpoint, the testimony was very straightforward, and we presented that today,” Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said after Presiding Mobile County Circuit Judge Wesley Pipes ruled that there is sufficient evidence for a grand jury to consider an indictment against David Terrell Smith.
