Baldwin County contractor faces six criminal charges as more alleged victims come forward

SUMMERDALE, Ala. (WALA) – A Baldwin County contractor now faces six criminal charges after more alleged victims came forward following his initial arrest in November.

Hunter Mikkelsen was first arrested and charged with two felonies after Rick Tietsort of Summerdale filed a police report. Tietsort said he paid Mikkelsen nearly $3,000 upfront to replace his old air conditioning unit last October, but by the end of November still had no air conditioner.

“I got a lot of text messages, but it was a lie after lie. I’ll get to you next week. I got real busy. This and that and it just came to you know, I’m not going to get it,” Tietsort said.

Police arrested Mikkelsen and charged him with financial exploitation of the elderly and theft by deception. His bond was set at $55,000…
