Officials Credit Teamwork For Keeping Fire Away From Buildings
Fort Morgan, Ala. — (OBA) — A brush fire burned through open land west of Sunrise Drive and State Highway 180, drawing a large emergency response. Fire crews moved quickly to stop the blaze before it could threaten homes in the area. Officials said about fifteen acres were affected by the fire. Responders credited teamwork for preventing property damage.
The fire was reported at about 3:30 PM yesterday, Friday, January 16. Crews said the flames spread between Highway 180 and Lakeshore Drive before they were brought under control.
Emergency units from Gulf Shores Fire Rescue, Orange Beach Fire Rescue, Bon Secour Fire Rescue, and the Foley Fire Department arrived soon after the call.
