Birmingham, AL – Residents across parts of Alabama, Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle woke up to an unusual winter sight Friday as measurable snowfall blanketed areas of the Deep South.
According to the National Weather Service Pittsburgh PA, snowfall totals reached 2 to 3 inches in southern Alabama and Georgia, with up to 0.7 inches recorded in parts of the Florida Panhandle.
