BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WALA) – The Baldwin County Commission adopted the Baldwin Beach Express II Access Management Plan this week for the final phase of the highway system.
The updated plan addresses changes needed since the first plan was approved 15 years ago, including significant industrial development and population growth in the area.
“Right of way acquisition is very important to start the process and so that’s the first change of business and then, just the layout of the new plan,” said Jeb Ball, chairman of the Baldwin County Commission. “It will be a very beneficial highway for evacuation purposes for hurricanes and just the flow of traffic from the north end to the south end.”
