Beloved WKRG anchor Bill Riales inducted into the Alabama Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Bill Riales is a man who has worn many hats over the years — award-winning broadcast journalist, U.S. Army tank driver, radio DJ, musician, author, husband, and father. But now, he has a new title to add to the collection: Hall of Famer.

That’s right, WKRG’s Bill Riales may have retired back in December, but he is still making waves through the broadcast industry, especially here in Alabama.

On Friday, Jan. 23, Bill will be inducted into the Alabama Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame after 39 years in the industry.

For co-worker and friend, Devon Walsh, Bill is very deserving of this honor: “For the past 25 years that Bill has been in Alabama, he has elevated WKRG to be the station that is most respected in the community,” she said…
