MOBILE, Ala. (NBC 15) — A Mobile County jury has found Carman Johnson guilty of Murder, Attempted Murder, and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, announced Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood.
The convictions stem from a violent incident on December 30, 2023, when Johnson fired multiple shots into a vehicle occupied by Bobby Grimes and passenger Lamount Fagan. Johnson attempted to kill Grimes and fatally shot Fagan. Johnson’s brother, Cameron Johnson, was also charged in connection with the case and is awaiting trial.
