Alabama politician once accused of killing his girlfriend granted pardon

Former Mobile County Commissioner Stephen Nodine was granted a pardon Tuesday for a state felony perjury conviction, a decision he said ends a “wrongful prosecution” that spanned 15 years.

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles approved the pardon Nodine had sought last year.
