MOBILE, Ala. (February 10, 2026) — The Mobile Airport Authority today announced new executive` leadership for its Board of Directors as the organization continues to advance major initiatives, including construction of the new terminal at Mobile International Airport (BFM).
Sandy Stimpson, who recently retired after serving 12 years as Mayor of the City of Mobile, was elected Chairman of the Mobile Airport Authority. During his tenure as mayor, Stimpson was a long-standing advocate for relocating Mobile’s commercial air service closer to downtown.
