FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — The City of Foley is one of five cities in Alabama to receive the “triple crown” of national financial awards for its financial reporting, according to city officials.

For the seventh consecutive year, the city’s finance department has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, according to a city news release.
Additionally, the city was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, it’s 12th such honor. The city also received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Report, something the city has done six times.
